California Dreaming with Georgia On My Mind

by Paul & Delise Knight in

As some of you may know, we were in California in February. We were there on business but not wedding business… but no matter where we go I have weddings on my mind. Paul found out that the largest flower market in the United States is in Los Angeles. Just imagine my delight - the only sad part was I didn't have Sue with me. Check out these pots they are 5 feet tall succulents. I could not wait to get home.

Videos

Wedding videos have been few and far between here at the farm for the last few years. It looks like that may change this year since 2 brides have already had videographers film there day.

Videos have come a long way. We just love the theatrical short highlights of the rehearsals, weddings and receptions. They are so upbeat and really give you a feel of the day without having to sit through hours of video (or forcing others to).

We are so fortunate to have several great video companies in the middle Georgia area. Here are a couple of short clips from our last 2 weddings.

Calm, Cool and Collective - Our Directors

by Paul & Delise Knight in

Oprah may have the best team in TV but we have the best team in weddings (just ask me). Every Bride has dreamed of her wedding day and our job is to make that dream come true (and we love this job).  Directing and coordination are the key to a smooth wedding day.  Let me introduce our team.Calm - Jessica was the first bride to have her reception in the Cotton Barn. We were planing Jessica's wedding years before she even met her groom. Jessica is like a daughter to us and brides tell us Jessica knows how to keep them calm.  Jessica is always calm under pressure and has been on our team the longest and we are so glad she still loves weddings.

Cool - Amy was the first bride at Pineola with a guest list over 300 and the first time we needed a tent. Amy  understands what makes a great party. Amy knows whats cool and up to date in weddings and she still buys wedding magazines(a girl after my own heart). Brides say Amy knows how to anticipate their needs and keep the reception going.

Collective  - Teri was the first bride to leave on a vintage fire truck and is the new kid on our block.  Teri has such a kind heart and still gets chocked up every time a bride starts down the aisle. After every wedding Teri says "this wedding was my favorite." Brides say Teri  keeps things together.

October at the Farm

by Paul & Delise Knight in

Like we said earlier - Our favorite season is usually the one we are in at the time. It is the beginning of Fall and the Farm is bursting into bloom again! The Swamp Sunflowers are incredible - The most vivid yellow you will ever see mixed with the purple of the Mexican Brush Sage and it's almost as good as a sunset.Add a few ornamental pumpkins in a green farm wagon and you have the perfect photo oportunities. We still have a few wedding dates available for for fall 2012...
