We were told that what we now call the cottage was originally a squirrel house. We think they raised squirrels for meat. It had been turned into a garage at some point. We ran our business from this building and later added a large room in the back. We had already removed the garage door and added the red door.
Screen Porch
On the south side of the house, there was a large screen porch. We removed the screen to open up that side of the house. This phot was taken at an early wedding here at the farm.
From the 1970's
Azaleas have been a part of Pineola for a very long time.
Early Front Walkway
This is what the front looked like when we moved in.
Delise is figuring it out
Front walkway
This was our first attempt at the front walkway. It was beautiful but required a lot of upkeep and replanting. We eventually decide on boxwoods.
Delise and Simone
Simone Bassett was our first contact with the Bassett family. It was the start of a wonderful relationship. Simone came back to Pineola and spent the night with us in the room where she was born.
Paul and Delise
This is shortly after we purchase the farm… Sitting on the north side porch. We were so young!
