The no-dig method is a favorite garden technique for England growers. It avoids breaking up, lifting, or turning the soil. Scientific evidence shows cultivation damages soil structure and disrupts the natural processes that occur within it. This makes no-dig a better choice for soil health by minimizing disturbance. Many people in England are choosing to not mow their lawns. This helps increase the diversity of flowers and plants in an area and provides food and shelter for pollinators.
