by Paul & Delise Knight in

We were thrilled earlier this year to be listed as a 2010 pick in the Knot - Best of Weddings.  Yesterday we received a call from a friend letting us know that we are listed in the fall winter 2010 issue of The Knot Georgia as number 6 in the Ten Most Talked About Wedding Venues in Georgia.  "The Cotton Barn at Pineola Farms in Peach County for an authentic southern experience"Thanks to all our great brides for kind words, and our wonderful staff who make us look good.

Philip and Jamie - May 29, 2010

Chair sashes and Gerber daisies - first glimpses of each other in the orchard - bells to ring in their love and a heart of roses. Everything is set.

The day had all of the makings of the perfect spring afternoon in Georgia - Warm, a little humid and then - a pop up afternoon thunderstorm just as we were seating the last mother. Looking at the radar 15 minutes before five we believed there was plenty of time for the service to be held in the orchard as planned. God had a different plan for this wedding.

A quick regroup and the wedding was held in the front door of the Cotton Barn with the rain falling behind the bride and groom. We have heard that a wet knot is much harder to untie... Jamie looked like a princess in her wedding gown. She designed her own cake with a princess and the frog topper. Their favors were homemade pecan and chocolate candies. kh Mason Photography got some great photos in spite of the weather. It was great working with y'all. Update - July 12, 2010   -   Check out Jenny Evelyn's Blog for more pictures!Jenny Evelyn Photography

I love it when all of the elements come together and compliment each other. The colors Lauren chose were so rich - encompassing many of the colors of the peacock feather, one of her inspirations.  I have always thought that the peacock feather was one of God's greatest details.

Another feature tieing their wedding together was trees and branches. The catering and wedding cake were done by Katerings by Kelly, the cake had embossed branches with 2 lovebirds nesting on top. The favors were baby crepe myrtle trees wrapped in burlap tied with a rich blue bow.

The Pineola design team had a great time with all of the details, we even incorporated blueberries in the boutonnieres.  Thanks to Jenny Evelyn Photography for her enthusiasm in catching all of the memories.

Lauren was a stunning bride in her cathedral length veil. Congratulations Kevin and Lauren!

Jason and Lore - May 15, 2010

by Paul & Delise Knight in

This weekend it was our pleasure to host the wedding and reception for Jason & Lore. The service took place at the base of a massive pecan tree in the big orchard. This kept all of the guest in the shade during the service. Logan, Lore's 14 year old son escorted her down the aisle. Lore's favorite flower is the star-gazer lily which was incorporated into the floral arrangements by our design team. The antique farm table was used for the wedding cake and a photo collage of Jason and Lore's lives.

Flower filled mason jars lined the aisle. Lore's gown was beautiful and her shoes were dreamy. The tan suites with pistachio ties were a great combination for a May wedding

Thanks to Jason, Lore and their families for letting us be part of your special day. It was great working with Lindley's Photography for the second weekend in a row!
